One of Rihanna's biggest fans is her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky. The latest fan moment was when he started to cheer for her during the most anticipated 2023 Super Bowl halftime performance on February 12, Sunday. The NFL shared a video of A$AP Rocky on Twitter, where Rihanna performed and confirmed her second pregnancy for a crowd in Arizona as the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles played against each other. In the clip, Rocky can be seen wearing a patriotic ensemble and using his phone's flashlight to add to the ambiance of the show. Moreover, he also clapped and cheered for his girlfriend. She wore an all-red ensemble for the show, according to PopSugar.

She sang and danced to a number of her hits at the show. She performed songs like "We Found Love,” “Where Have You Been,” “Diamonds” and “Work." The couple welcomed their first child on May 13, 2022, but kept details about him private. In an interview before the halftime performance, Rihanna shared that she was not sure if she should perform. “I was like, ‘You sure? I’m three months postpartum. Should I be making major decisions like this right now? I might regret this,'” she said, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

“When you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world — you can do anything,” she added. “And the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, so as scary as that was…there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all,” she said. “It’s important for my son to see that.”

She also mentioned that it was difficult to fit her 18-year catalog into a 13-minute performance. “The setlist was the biggest challenge. That was the hardest part — deciding how to maximize 13 minutes, but also celebrate. That’s what the show’s going to be — it’s going to be a celebration of my catalog in the best way,” she said. “I think we did a pretty good job at narrowing it down.”

Adele was also present to watch Rihanna's performance at the 2023 Super Bowl. She had told PageSix, “I’m going just for Rihanna. I don’t give a flying f–k." The two have been good friends for years and it didn't come as a surprise that she would be attending the show. She also wrote the 2018 Time 100 profile for Rihanna. “I actually can’t remember the first time I met Rihanna; I was probably numb from the shock of it,” she wrote. “She is one year older than me, but I feel like she’s been around forever. The progression of her superstardom feels steady, well deserved, and extremely natural.”

She ended the profile by writing, “Whenever I’ve met her, she’s been the most gracious, loyal, and funny goofball of an icon. She glows like when someone’s taken a picture with a flash and you’re dazed for a few minutes after. But it’s also very clear in that glow that she genuinely doesn’t give a f-ck; she’s fearless and full of all the right kind of attitude to be everything that she is and will be forever.”
