The mom confirmed if Joseph really said what the girl was reading from the Bible and neither of them could stop laughing.
Kids have a unique way of seeing and doing things. Their perspective comes from an amalgamation of things they see or hear. Moreover, they have an unrestricted imagination and a will to speak their mind. A little girl named Maisley exhibited the same imaginative qualities as she read the story of Jesus' birth from a book but with her own twists. The mom, Micah Howell—who goes by @southern._.sweets on Instagram—could not stop laughing as she filmed the hilarious video. Howell shared that there's never a dull day with her daughter.
As the video began, 8-year-old Maisley had just begun reading about the birth of Jesus. "And Mary said, 'Woo, somebody give me a cold rag,'" she read out loud. "And Joseph said, 'Push girl, you’re fine!'" Both the girl and Howell started laughing at that, and the mom asked, "Did Joseph say that?" Maisley confirmed that he did. "Are you sure? It's in the Bible there?" the mom wondered as the girl kept giggling. "I don't ever remember Mary asking for a cold rag in the reading of the Birth of Jesus," the text overlay of the video read.
The caption said, "Never a dull moment with this child of mine! The birth of Jesus told a little differently."
Maisley goes to a private school in Tennessee where they made their students read the Bible, per TODAY. She shared that the girl had never been in a delivery room or had seen an actual birth, so the "push girl, you are fine" comment came to her because they live on a farm.
"With the livestock, she’s been around those types of births. That’s the only thing I can think of because she’s never in her life been in a delivery room." About Maisley's personality, Howell revealed, "She’s so full of life. And as a mom, that’s what you want, is your kids to feel loved and know that they’re loved, to have true joy, and everything else is just a bonus."
Many people took to the comments to express their thoughts on the girl's commentary. @meesha.pea wrote, "The next time life is lifing, I’m going to holler, 'Push girl, you’re fine' as soon as 'someone gets me a cold rag.'" @keishadickens6 commented, "Baby girl is a labor and delivery nurse in waiting. Push girl, you're fine. I need y'all to get both of those on maternity t-shirts ASAP." @kmbrly_nmb remarked, "DEAD. The girl is wise beyond her years! One day, she will be birthing a baby of her own, and all she will need is a cold rag and her man telling her to: 'Push girl, you’re fine.'"
@toniekimaru shared, "That's a Sunday sermon right there. Push girl, don't you give up. God's got you, so push. Push the limits, push through the pain." @lisafischersaid joked, "'Push, girl, you’re fine.' Did Joseph ever see another day on earth after that one?" @lauramoise0307 expressed, "Explains why we don’t hear much of anything from Joseph after the Nativity story." @annehamilton_615 pointed out, "The Bible was edited for those with weak constitutions. Childbirth isn’t for the weak."
