This young girl is teaching people how important it is to maintain a balanced schedule in your day-to-day life.
Maintaining a balanced life is important for everyone. Starting our day by writing down our daily tasks and following through on them ensures productivity. While we may not complete every task, keeping a record of what we've finished or left unfinished serves as a reminder to lead a disciplined life. While many adults fail to maintain a to-do list for their day-to-day lives, a little girl is showing people on the internet how it's done. u/NuevoJerz, a father on Reddit, shared a photo of his 7-year-old daughter's digital to-do list and how she maintains it with dedication.
The ambitious little one goes about her day by checking off tasks from her to-do list. She puts a green checkmark emoji next to the activities she completed, and for those she didn’t finish, she places a cross emoji next to them. The girl's list starts with doing the dishes, cleaning her room and practicing her writing. She also aims to help tidy the house before making time for some fun activities that bring her joy, including dancing, blowing bubbles, doing chalk art, singing, spending time outside and playing. Then, she does the dishes again before dinner is served.
After the meal, she plans to take a shower and write some more. Then she makes time for playing with her dolls and a long car ride. On that particular day, she also attended a soccer match before practicing her soccer skills at home. The last few items on her list include dancing again, taking multiple videos of her dancing, painting a cupcake and learning something. The dad shared the impressive to-do list on the r/MadeMeSmile forum with the caption: "My 7-year-old daughter just shared with me the to-do list that she maintains."
The Reddit community cheered for the girl and appreciated how well her days and nights were planned. Some people noted that this to-do list was probably customized for weekends or holidays as there is no mention of attending school on the list. "Gotta keep on top of that cupcake painting tho!" commented u/puffinrust. "This checklist involves both productive activities AND joy-filled activities. I could take a few notes from her," admitted u/housecatdreams. Responding to this comment, the girl's dad wrote: "That's a brilliant observation! I totally missed that myself. Why do we lose that when we grow up???"
u/MediocreVideo1893 wrote, "Can she help me get my life together? But seriously, this is adorable and a great sign of the healthy, well-rounded home she is being raised in so props to her and you!" u/GoodMoGo wistfully expressed, "I wish I had close to that green check to red X ratio..." Offering them some advice, u/smashey commented, "Split tasks up into easier sub-tasks. 'Do Laundry' becomes 'gather clothes,' 'put clothes in wash,' 'put clothes in dryer,' 'fold and put clothes away.'"
u/ForTheLove-of-Bovie was moved by the young girl's list for another reason. "I have a 5-year-old and this just made me tear up. This sweet little list is a combination of her growing up and starting to worry more about adult responsibilities, but also still maintaining that little kid innocence. I feel like that’s often lost too fast. Enjoy every single moment, one day they’ll blow their last bubble! That is until they have kids of their own," they reminded fellow parents.
