Melaycia's (@_melaycia_) advice to all the people with bullies is not to resort to violence, but to beat them by making them look stupid. She took to TikTok on April 15 to narrate how she got her bully, Shelby, kicked out of the house. Melaycia was in 6th grade and living at a student home at the time, and Shelby was much older. Shelby often picked on Melaycia, and on one full moon night, she decided to hit back. She asked Shelby to come outside and somehow convinced her she was a werewolf. However, when she broke character, Shelby did something that got her kicked out of the student home. The video received 16,400 views, 3,317 likes, and 45 comments.

Improv actress

Melaycia recalled that it was a moonlit night, and she was about to take the trash out when a genius idea struck her. She saw Shelby doing the dishes in the kitchen and asked her to come out because she wanted to show her something. Indifferent, but curious, Shelby followed. At this point, Melaycia had nothing planned, but remembered thinking, "If I wanted to convince her that I was a werewolf, I was gonna have to do it with emotion."

She also mentioned that she was in improv classes, which made her acting more believable. Shelby was standing with her arms crossed. Instead of speaking, Melaycia just looked down at the ground, slowly looked up at the full moon, and said, "It's a full moon. I haven't shown anybody this. So, you have to promise me you're not gonna tell." Melaycia dragged on the act till Shelby was convinced she was a werewolf, jumped and landed on all fours, and burst out laughing.

The cameras caught it all

Shelby went back inside the house, but Melaycia managed to make her look dumb. "I was dying laughing, pointing at her, and being like, 'You bought it. You believed me.'" Shelby was extremely embarrassed and went red in the face. When Melaycia went back inside, Shelby demanded she put the dishes in the dishwasher, even though it was her task. Melaycia told her she was not going to do it and added, "You're not my mom."

That lit Shelby's fuse; she grabbed Melaycia by the neck and choked her over the counter. Melaycia knew there were cameras around the house. "I let her have a moment, but I narked on her, and then they ran the cameras back, and she got kicked out. But not without believing that I was a werewolf first."

'Supernatural beings are real'

A survey from the National Center for Education Statistics revealed that 28% of children are bullied in middle schools, 15% in high schools, and 10% in elementary schools. Shelby was just a teenager when this happened, so it made sense that she believed Melaycia was a werewolf. A 2025 YouGov survey revealed that a large group of American adults believed in the existence of supernatural creatures. While the majority of them believed in the presence of demons (43%), psychics (42%), and ghosts (38%), only 6% believed in the existence of vampires and werewolves.

People had similar hilarious stories in the comment section. @jalynn.mcnair commented, "I convinced my classmates I was the princess of Genovia in elementary. Idk why I was popular, so they believed me." @kay.minow shared, "When me and my step-sister were younger, like third-grade age, she convinced me that she could talk to birds and they talked back to her, and there was this whole place that she would go to like a bird kingdom."
