"Practice what you preach" is a simple yet powerful parenting mantra. Parents are children’s first teachers, shaping their future by instilling values, habits, and culture. But here’s a twist—how often do you see a child schooling their dad for doing something wrong? It’s rare, right? Well, not in the household of content creator Ameerah, who goes by @mij.1995 on Instagram. Her adorable 5-year-old daughter, Amayah, had everyone in stitches when she took her dad to task for leaving his socks on the floor. Ameerah shared the hilarious moment on Instagram, where the video has already racked up over 711,000 views.

“It’s getting ridiculous that I had to clean up your socks today,” Amayah began, clearly unimpressed, as her mother chuckled and her father looked genuinely baffled. When her dad asked which socks she was referring to, Amayah didn’t miss a beat: “The Dragon Ball Z ones.” Caught red-handed, the dad sheepishly smiled, admitted his mistake, and apologized—only to receive yet another adorable lecture from his pint-sized disciplinarian.

“It is very important that you clean up your socks, Dad,” she continued, ensuring her father wouldn’t make the same mistake again. Who knew a 5-year-old could dish out the best parenting advice? Amayah’s confidence and humor have won over the internet, proving that kids might just be better at parenting than we think.

Meanwhile, the dad, who perhaps was in a quirky mood, decided to tease his daughter a bit. He said, "They (socks) were in my room. I did not ask you to go to my room to clean my socks." But Amayah was in no mood to forgive her dad as she argued, "Mommy told me to go in your room, to look, help her see if there is any mess. And all the mess was yours, dad." As if Amayah's disciplinary class was not enough, she threw in another zinger, "Girls have to do everything for boys. Why?" The dad could no longer control his emotions and started laughing hysterically.

"You know that's a very good question," he said when Amayah asked why girls are much cleaner than boys. The dad further promised his daughter never to make such a mess. "I will try to start to clean it up. I promise I won't make a mess anymore," he said. People went crazy watching the little kid put out so much wisdom and calling out "boys" for always creating a mess. @ashleyjm commented, "The fact she's five and already asking why girls have to always clean up after guys is beyond me!" @sheerdelyte_luxury wrote, "'Girls have to do everything for boys why?' How I love this little old soul."

@trye_dits added, "This man said, 'Why did you go to my room, I didn't ask you?' Like seriously bruh! That's your excuse to your daughter!" Meanwhile, @bansribhogaita wrote, "Mission accomplished! I think the dad will now keep the room tidy for his daughter’s sake." @zainabo.shuaib said, "This new generation of girls??? I hope the boy mums are doing a great job so we don't have to go to court at an old age! Because these girls know exactly what they need to be! And don't look like they'll be taking less than expected while staying respectful. Love it!"
