This little boy knew exactly how to light up the day of a sanitation worker and he didn't hesitate to break into an impromptu dance battle with him.
The sanitation workers who put in their best efforts to keep our neighborhood clean deserve much more respect than what they get. Sometimes, they encounter little kids who make their mundane days a lot brighter. Take 4-year-old Finn Lippert, for example. The little kid from Georgetown, South Carolina, is a delight to the local sanitation workers who regularly show up to keep his locality clean. Every time they honk the horns of their garbage collection truck and show up at Lippert's neighborhood, the kid eagerly waits for them, standing in the driveway of his home, per Christian Radio.
At one instance, when the sanitation workers showed up to do their routine job, Lippert was prepared with a plan to cheer them up. As soon as the garbage collection truck arrived in his block, he broke into a little dance, standing in the driveway. To add to the wholesome moment, one of the sanitation workers, Marcus Doiley, joined the boy for a cute little dance-off. Doiley showed off his dancing skills, trying to match Lippert's energetic steps. The whole moment was witnessed by Lippert's mother, Erin, who recorded the magical moment and uploaded it online. WKYC Channel 3 shared the video as Lippert and Doiley's adorable dance-off won over the online audience.
"These guys work for the Georgetown sanitation," Erin said, per Christian Radio. "They are our normal crew, but the kids all through the neighborhood love them! They honk the horn when they pull up so the kids can come to the doors or outside to see them, the friendliest bunch ever! Every day, Finn runs out to watch them. Yesterday, he was like, 'I feel like dancing for them.' It shocked him when he danced back." Erin also shared an additional post on her Facebook page, explaining how her son and Doiley have become friends. Doiley had also seen their fun video once it went viral.
"Sweet boy was so surprised that Mr. Marcus came by not only with goodies but with all his department friends too! He pulled the shy card and hid, but once the crowd calmed back down to his favorite guy, then he was back to his normal busy boy self. Thankful for these guys, always taking time to chat with the kids and make it fun. It's truly so special and it makes Finn's day every time. We are still in shock that their little dance-off went viral, but how fun for the world to see. My heart is so happy that it brought so many smiles to so many faces," Erin added in the caption with some videos of Doiley and Lippert enjoying their time in each other's company.
The comment section was full of people applauding the wholesome dancing duo and how it became a core memory for everyone. Kristena Ellise Davidson wrote, "I'm so happy they stopped to see him. When I saw the post of them coming to that other little boy, I thought about Finn." Kristy Main Lambert commented, "This is so sweet. It's a great story and was one that deserved to be shared for all to see." Deborah Lovell Strong added, "Such a great uplifting story to hear in a world that is full of negativity!! This is the kind of story I love to hear!!"
