During an interview with a Korean show, 'My Golden Kids,' a little boy gets emotional while sharing how his parents make him feel.
Children often find joy in the simplest aspects of life. Even something as basic as playing and spending time with them brightens up their day. This video of a four-year-old discussing his parents highlights the deep emotional impact that feeling alone has on children, even when they're not physically alone. A poignant scene from the Korean show "My Golden Kids," aired by Channel A, captures the young boy expressing his loneliness, touching hearts across the internet. A user, Jal7star (@ily.m.s), shared this clipping on TikTok and it has gained over 6 million views.
Observed from another room by his parents, the four-year-old answered questions about his daily life and activities. He started the interview with glee, but when asked whom he liked to play with the most, the little one's smile faded away. After some hesitation, he said, "I don't know." He added, "I am alone at home. No one plays with me." As the show's team observed the kid at home, he was seen playing by himself most of the time. This happened even when the entire family, including his dad, mom and his grandma were at home. When the host asked about his dad, the poor little one replied, "He's scary when he's mad."
"Is there something you want from your dad?" asked the interviewer, to which the kid replied, "I want him to call me nicely." In that painful moment, he added that he wanted his dad to address him sweetly, saying, "Eo Jun!" Things got much more overwhelming when he was asked about his mom. "I don't think she likes me," the kid said while trying to hold back his tears. The heartbreaking sight then features the four-year-old struggling to utter words and finally breaking down into tears. His sweet little voice broke when he said that even if he tried to communicate his feelings to his mother, but she "never listened." He wished that his mom played with him. Not just his parents, but many people who were watching this confession shed tears.
"He held his tears because he thinks he needs to be strong because, for him, he doesn't have anyone to lay on," wrote @angelmillersantiago. "My dear sweet little boy, it's okay to cry. This world is so cruel and sad. I hope you will receive all the love you deserve. We love you already," added @celiacerila. "This boy already knows what loneliness is. I feel sad for him. I want to be with him now to make him happy," expressed @dumpbykaws.
The video of the episode shared by Channel A World on YouTube shows more about how the four-year-old felt about his family. The little one wanted his parents to be gentle with him as they often tended to scold him. Even if he had his grandmother's support, he longed for his parent's love so much that he thought their anger meant they disliked him. His dad wasn't so invested while playing with him and his mom was focused on feeding and taking care of his younger sibling. When the little one was taken out to play, he constantly craved his mom's presence and even became anxious when he couldn't find her. He kept on requesting his mom to play with him, no matter how many colorful toys and entertainment were around him. The episode was surely an eye-opener to many parents.
