It will probably take another century to escape the grips of patriarchy but people are dismantling it one sarcastic comment at a time.
Patriarchy is pervasive and has invaded all spheres of our lives including our homes, work, and daily politics. It will take decades, if not centuries to undo all the conditioning and deliberate misogyny that greets us at every turn. Working towards an equal society starts with rebutting and calling out people who further misogyny, unknowingly, or knowingly. Cis men live entitled lives in a world that's built to cater to them and reduce sexual and gender minorities to objects, people with limited power, and decision-making capabilities. Not to mention many Cis men holding sway in power corridors work actively to deny others a say in their own lives. There are loads of good people out there who are working towards an equal society and sometimes it starts with shutting up a person trying to pass off a misogynistic remark. Here are some of the wittiest comments that helped shut up jerks and hopefully, serve as inspiration for us to not let them get away with it.
Using my brain to get a Ph.D. and then educate loads of women about how they’re more than just hosts for babies and servants for men.

If school girls must cover their bra straps b/c they are "sexual," Snapping a girls bra should be considered sexual assault by the school.

Doing my makeup on the train this morning and a random man told me he likes women to have a more natural look. I told him I like men to have a more silent look. 🤷♀️

After men bombarded Amy Fowler with opinions on the tweet, she took all of them down.
And the prize for unsolicited opinions about my makeup on a post about unsolicited opinions about my makeup goes to....

No. There are just too many deserving entrants to choose.
I asked my six month old the same question and she said,

“The false dichotomy in the premise of this question proves the ongoing need for feminism. You would never ask a boy to choose between procreation and professional fulfillment” https://t.co/z3DfJnpg9j
Social norms have not changed. We NEVER liked you touching us without our permission. So please stop convincing yourself that it’s a new world. It’s the same world, I just don’t have to lose a job for telling you to get your hands off me.

One woman lying spoils the credibility of all women But one man raping or assaulting does not spoil the credibility of all men. If this is not male privilege then I don't know what is. #MeToo #Misogyny

Whenever someone tried to excuse sexual assault with “boys will be boys”, my father would say, “I never acted like that as a boy, neither did my brothers, nor does my son. Being decent isn’t difficult.” - and this taught me a lot as a little girl growing up.

Nurses lose their jobs for having an OnlyFans to make ends meet because they’re being so underpaid but no-one bat an eyelid when firemen were doing shirtless calendars to raise extra income for the same reason? Interesting

You know what's gross? Women get addressed by Miss, Mrs., or Ms. because society deems it important to know if she is single, married or widowed. Men, on the other hand, are only addressed as Mr. because their relationship to women does not affect their social status.

This is quite the self-own. Because the common denominator in all these interactions is that they just met you.

In the fight for equality for women, a lot of people say "feminism is going to break up marriages and families"... You know what? That's okay.

If your idea of a successful marriage is dependent on the oppression of women, then it's not really worth it at all. Scatter it all!
How about instead of me explaining why I don't find rape jokes funny, you explain why you DO find them funny.
