Although these moments seem few and far between, they serve as much-needed reminders that life isn't all that bad.
While the internet can seem like a hate-filled, heartless place on most days, there are times when a ray of wholesomeness shines through all the negativity. Although these glimpses of everything that's pure in the world might seem few and far between, they serve as much-needed reminders that life isn't all that bad. Especially right now, when we've been caught in the gloom and hopelessness brought on by the pandemic for what seems like forever, such moments stand out in their ability to make us smile.
So here are a few instances over the years when the internet was actually a warm and fuzzy place:
My parents have been married for 34 years. My mom is in the final stages of young onset dementia (diagnosed 5 years ago at 53). My dad cares for her full-time. She doesn’t always remember his name but she knows she is safe with him. If that’s not true love, I don’t know what is. pic.twitter.com/8oW2n4mGza

I got up this morning to get ready for #DCPride. My grandma walked into my room, looked at my bi flag, and said, “Oh, this needs to be pressed out!” Such a simple gesture, but it holds so much love and meaning for me. pic.twitter.com/stiD3vg5vs

My son has parked his bike by this lamppost just about every day for the last year. This morning, this sticker had appeared. Absolutely made our day. People can be so brilliant. Thank you, whoever did it 😊 pic.twitter.com/rYC8jCTD5L
