Life with pets ensures that there is never a dull moment. The bond between people and their pets leads to several antics, mishaps and ultimately joy. Eirinn Reid (@eirinnreid) shares all of these with her horse Twinkle on her popular TikTok account. Twinkle is a 17-year-old horse who lives with Reid in East Lothian, Scotland. The pony, every now and then, steals the spotlight on the internet by dancing to popular tunes and trends. Together, they have accumulated almost 500k followers. As per Reid's own admission on Fox Digital News, Twinkle is a special horse with a "unique personality."

The change he brought into Reid's life transformed it for the better. Not only has Twinkle brought joy to his owner's life, but he has also filled it with opportunities. One of the most popular videos has Twinkle participating in the viral trend using music from JRitt. In this trend, people first dance casually and then get on with their best moves in the dark. For Twinkle, there was no darkness; he did everything in light. During the low beats, Twinkle is acting all cute and eating his food, but when the beat picks up, he begins shimmying it up. He is flaunting his mane and just living it up in the barn. His energy is so infectious that anyone would want to get up and dance with him. The video collected more than 30 million views and 5.1 million likes.

There are many other videos of Twinkle enjoying himself to the fullest with his pet parent. In one of them, he is dancing to Watermelon Sugar and another one of them has him giving side eyes to the camera. Twinkle was the first horse Reid adopted and therefore, she shares a deep bond with him. In an interview, Reid talked about Twinkle's demeanor: “Twinkle has such a unique personality, full of fun and real character.” Her followers have fallen in love with Twinkle's side-eye and crooked head. Reid further shared, “We’ve never met any other horse like him and I doubt we will ever find another like him.”

Reid shares that one of the things that makes Twinkle appealing is how he is able to connect with humans. This is because oftentimes he forgets his identity as a pony and indulges in “human-like” things. “Twinkle’s the type that forgets he’s a pony and would rather spend the day being in human company than doing horse things,” Reid explained. The equestrian is very appreciative of the opportunities she has gotten because of Twinkle. “The support was so overwhelming — being contacted by celebrities, big creators and media platforms,” she said. But the thing for which she has the most gratitude is the personal change she has felt because of Twinkle. Twinkle has helped her view things differently and increased her self-confidence. Being Twinkle's best friend is a privilege for Reid according to her, “Even on the darkest days, seeing him and his antics just puts a smile on my face.”
