When a person really likes someone, it is natural to fantasize about potentially getting married to the individual one day. While some keep these hopes and dreams close to their heart, others feel so confident about the relationship that they want to shout it from the rooftops. This was the case for 14-year-old Ava Yuergens when she began dating Benjamin William Otto in their freshman year of high school. Young Yuergens was so certain about Otto that she made a video to be played at their future wedding. Fast forward five years, and that video was indeed played on their wedding day and it’s the most adorable thing ever. Yuergens—who goes by @avayuergens on TikTok—shared the heartwarming moment on the platform where her manifestation powers amazed millions of viewers.

Yuergens, who tied the knot with Otto in 2024 at the age of 19, sat beside her groom as her 2019 prediction video began playing. "Play this at my wedding," she confidently declared in the clip, while her friends in the background cheered, saying, "Yes, play this at her wedding." The bride watched the video with her hands covering her face as her husband smiled at her. "This is me at 14 years old, on December 8th, a Sunday in 2019," she shared in the clip. "I’m a freshman, by the way."

"I am telling you right now that I am going to get married to Ben Otto. Benjamin William Otto," the then-14-year-old, expressed. "And we are going to play this at my wedding and I am going to be like, haha, got you." As her voiceover played, clips from the wedding showed the couple kissing, feeding each other cake, and sharing their first dance. Beloved childhood romances that grow into lifelong partnerships aren’t as rare as we might think when early relationships evolve with time, commitment, and emotional mutual growth.

A 15-year longitudinal study published in 2023 found that patterns of romantic involvement in adolescence (ages 16-24) are continuously linked to relationship outcomes later in adulthood, including relationship status and duration. This suggests that early romantic experiences can be predictive of long-term commitment and relationship stability in later years. The wholesome video received 31.5 million views and over 5.7 million likes. People loved Yuergens's cute story and asked how she'd managed to manifest her dream at just 14. Many also shared their own stories of finding true love.

@hayowimarocstarr shared, "I am so jealous of people that are married before 22. I just want my person so I can spend as much time with them as I can." @jbr118 disclosed, "I started dating my husband in 2016. I was 21. When he asked me to be his girlfriend, I told him I had to think about it because I knew that if I said yes, that would be it for me. Married in 2023!"

@avayuergens
